Kerry Vernon Johnson and Jasmine Ann Johnson have been photographing America’s National Parks and the Western United States for the past 30 years. Originally from California, they met in college where Kerry studied fine arts and graphics while Jasmine studied photography. Combining art, graphics, photography and their love of the Southwest has been the focus of their business.
Having the unique opportunity to live at the Grand Canyon for more than 15 years, they aptly named their business South Rim Studio for its location near the rim of the world’s most beautiful canyon. They also sold their artwork and photography on the rim at the El Tovar Hotel’s Veranda Art Show for many years. Noteable collectors include Paul McCartney, Stoneybrook Medical Center in New York and the Arizona Office of Tourism.
Kerry and Jasmine relocated to the beautiful Sonoran Desert, enabling them to photograph the desert in the winter months, the mountains in the summer, and show their work in art shows.
All photographs are printed by Kerry and Jasmine with the highest quality paper and inks. They use an assortment of both Nikon and Canon digital cameras. Many of the photographs in these galleries were taken using film cameras including Pentax, Linhof and Hasselblad film cameras.
